Description APPLICATIONS/SYSTEMS ENGINEER ONBOARD VEHICLE WEIGHING SYSTEMS BASED BRADFORD, WEST YORKSHIRE
This company is a leader in the design, manufacture and service of onboard vehicle weighing systems and associated software for the bulk haulage, waste management and recycling industries. Due to significant expansion and growth of the company and further development strategies plans for the UK business, they are now looking to recruit an Applications/Systems Engineer for their head office in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
The successful applicant will be qualified to at least HNC/HND level in a Mechanical Engineering orientated subject and would be comfortable moving into a client facing role. You will support sales personnel and also advise agents and customers regarding the company?s full range of weighing products/systems. This position will include the development of project/product specifications in close collaboration with colleagues, including those from other engineering/technical disciplines. This will be a customer-facing role and therefore excellent communication skills are essential as are good reporting skills.
You will also need to be conversant with commonly used Microsoft packages such as Word or Excel. Ideally you will have some training/mentoring skills and experience. Exposure to vehicle chassis and/or body design would be advantageous. Self-motivated and attracted to new challenges, you will be positive and have a pro-active approach. A lateral thinker, you will also be a team worker. This is an excellent career opportunity to join the UK?s longest-established onboard weighing company.
