Our client is the world's largest manufacturer and maintainer of people-moving products including lifts, escalators and trav-o-lators®.
Their Metro Division provides maintenance services, repairs, and modernisation packages to the London Underground for a suite of lifts and escalators on London Underground Stations. They run a 24/7 operation, covering some 130 units.
As one of their dedicated Field Managers, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for both engineers and customers. You will be accountable for continuing change to the service culture to one where customer criticism is accepted and the quality of delivery is improved. Furthermore, you will be required to develop and encourage field teams to beat performance targets and improve their own skill base.
The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of both older and modern systems. You will preferably be educated to HNC level (or equivalent) and it is important that you have the ability to analyse electrical, mechanical and electronic problems from first principles.
Applicants should be results driven and self-motivated with strong problem solving skills and the ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure. Equally you will need to be an excellent communicator, possessing first-class negotiation skills and the qualities to build close working relationships with numerous stakeholder groups. A willingness to undertake appropriate LEIA training courses is also required.
Please note, you must be willing and able to work following a rota that includes nights (approx 20%).
