Description
Our client is one of the industry leaders in its field, with operations in the UK and the US.
A position has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join an existing team undertaking Electrical and Mechanical maintenance of all manufacturing plant, general equipment, building and utilities.
Main responsibilities and duties include: -
Preventative maintenance work on all Electrical & Mechanical equipment.
Improve electrical and mechanical safety of equipment.
Fault finding in Electrical, PLC, SCADA and Profibus control systems.
Maintenance of instrumentation.
Installation of all Electrical control equipment when needed
Installation of conduit, armoured cable for electrical distribution.
Carry out mechanical fabrication work associated with the installation work e.g. brackets, plates and fixings.
Liaise and assist mechanical engineering staff as required in Primary Engineering.
Manage local projects and provide support to Capital Projects
Will be expected to work as a team member, Support manufacturing operations and recognise customer needs
To provide cover for other Technician Holidays etc.
Applicants should have completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship with a background in a fast moving manufacturing environment and able to demonstrate knowledge/skills in the following areas:
Good numeric & literacy skills
Good communication skills
Good knowledge of GMP/Health and Safety requirements
Ability to work unsupervised
Demonstrate knowledge of IEE regulations
Multiskilled
This role is shift based working a pattern that covers days/ nights and weekends.
