Description Field Service Technician (Electrical / Electronic Maintenance Engineer) West London £18,407 plus Benefits Our client is a world leading manufacturer and provider of personal and home telehealthcare solutions and monitoring centre systems. They make independent living possible through the application of technology and the provision of services that protect, support and care for people.
They currently have an opportunity for someone to join their large nation-wide team of field service operatives.
Ideally you will already have experience within the electrical / electronic field service industries. The company is particularly interested in candidates with experience in field servicing any of the following: Warden call, access control, CCTV, fire or intercom systems. Your skills and experience will include faultfinding, diagnosis and the basic repair down to unit level. Due to the increasing use of new technology, you should also be computer literate - ideally with experience of configuring equipment via a Laptop or PC.
Residing in the above area you will ideally be qualified to NC level in Electrical / Electronic engineering or the equivalent. You will be able to demonstrate a professional approach with good interpersonal skills, plus you'll need the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. You need to be a logical thinker, be self-reliant, flexible in your approach, and possess a full driving licence. You will need to be able to provide regular out of hour’s cover, on a 1 in 3 week standby roster system (which will include regular weekend working) for which overtime payments are made.
You will receive initial and ongoing off and on the job training not just on our client’s market leading products and systems, but also 3rd party equipment, and this will involve staying away from home from time to time.
Basic Starting Salary £18,407 plus overtime. Other benefits include a choice of a Car or Van (though this may not available at first), 25 days paid holiday plus the public holidays, free Life Insurance, our contribution into the stakeholder pension scheme is between 5% & 9%.
You will be required to undertake a Criminal Records Bureau check.
