Description
Our client is a leading producer of its product with 10 state-of-the-art manufacturing sites across the UK.
They have a requirement for an Electrical Engineer on permanent nights to join an existing team at their Chichester plant. Hours of work are Mon - Thurs 22:00 -06:00, Fri 18:00 - 23:30
You will be carrying out the following duties:
Reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of food manufacturing and packaging machinery.
Electrical fault finding and installation on:- PLC, power and control systems
Assisting mechanical engineers
Assisting with the setting production lines and advise production staff
PPM and project work.
Applicants should posses the following skills and qualifications:
A background carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance activity within a food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of the following:
Omron PLC and drives
24/240 circuits
metal detection devices
motor control
labelling
flow wrappers
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Appropriate professional electrical engineering qualifications and training ideally ONC or HNC level.
Thorough understanding of common mechanical and electrical systems.
Professional attitude with drive and enthusiasm.
