Our client offer specialist-engineering services covering Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation and Control Engineering. The expanding UK and international client base covers government organisations, theme park operators, privatised national utility companies, national museums, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, chemical and industrial manufacturers.
They are looking for a Senior Consultant Engineer to join them to provide specialist technical and safety engineering solutions and services. Within the role, you will be expected to provide ‘technical expert’ leadership, contribute to the companies sales and marketing strategy, company growth and profitability. You will develop new and existing client relationships to anticipate their requirements, meet their expectations and provide high quality technical consultancy and reports.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in control or electrical engineering, preferably to Chartered Engineer status. Experience of working with external regulatory authorities such as the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency or OFCOM will be preferable. You will have experience of power engineering and management of high voltage systems and preferably be a ‘Senior authorised person’ (SAP). You will be familiar with Functional Safety Standards, IEC 61508/61511. You will preferably be qualified to provide CDM, DSEAR hazardous area assessments, HAZOP studies, CompEx inspections, EAWR studies and Arc flash assessments.
Due to the nature of the role you must be willing to travel throughout the UK on a regular basis so a full UK driving licence is required.
