We are seeking a Senior Engineer who is looking to develop their career into an Engineering Management role to join this leading company who design and manufacture high quality furniture and equipment for children and young adults with disabilities. This vacancy has become available as the current Engineering Manager is retiring.
As Senior Engineer/ Engineering Manager you will manage 3-4 Engineers and also be involved in the development of new products and prototypes. The company uses Solidworks CAD software and has in house prototype facilities. Many of their products are modified to meet the specific needs of the individual.
To succeed as Engineering Manager you should have a mechanical engineering background and a strong base of hands-on Engineering knowledge & experience. You may have come from a range of light engineering industries, perhaps automotive, metals, composites, rubber & plastics or wood products.
As Senior Engineer, you must also be able to demonstrate your people management skills and ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
You will be joining a small family business which has developed from the initial design of a chair for children with Cerebral Palsy, to present day where they design and manufacture a whole range of equipment covering seating, standing, toileting & bathing, changing benches and therapy.
