ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
FOOD SORTING SOLUTIONS
EAST LONDON
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who will report to the Senior Hardware Development Engineer / Project Manager and will design and develop food sorting machines with emphasis on electrical aspects.
As Electrical Design Engineer you will design and develop electrical schematics and wiring assembly (WA) drawings in consultation with other team members and will work with Mechanical and Hardware Engineers to produce and develop cable forms and looms for new and existing machines using CAD. This typically involves digital and high voltage cabling between internal PCB?s and power supplies.
You will be responsible for ensuring designs adhere to specification and current legal requirements, producing all designs using AutoCAD, assisting with machine builds ensuring correct cable routings and ensuring their designs are fit for purpose, producing cost effective solutions within agreed timescales and budgets and providing technical support to the Production and Customer Care departments. You will also be expected to ensure confidentiality of privileged information is maintained whilst dealing with external personnel.
You will also manage assigned design change requests (change note & corrective action requests) resulting from problems identified with existing products.
To succeed as Electrical Design Engineer you should have minimum HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar subject, with consideration given to experienced wire persons. You must have sound, relevant work experience in a similar special purpose machine role and experience in AutoCAD or other similar CAD packages.
