Our client is a leading supplier of technology for the production of a wide range of chemicals and polymers.
They are making a significant investment in up grading their electrode coating and refurbishment facilities and have created this new role to maximise the business growth by fully utilising the new capabilities. This role will therefore have a high profile within the business and provides the successful candidate with an excellent platform to demonstrate their business acumen.
You will be a degree qualified scientist or engineer with significant commercial experience in a business to business sales environment. You will be able to demonstrate a sound technical understanding of electrode coatings and how they bring a commercial benefit to users. Experience in the Chlor-Alkali Industry would be desirable.
The successful candidate will have ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the commercial and technical functions of both customers and the business. They must be able to assimilate customer requirements and manage the process of turning these requirements into successful products. This requires strong leadership and tenacity, with critical information seeking and project management skills.
To bring the maximum benefit to the business you will have strong commercial ability and will be able to demonstrate effective key account development and management as well as excellent negotiation skills. This role will also require significant Global travel (up to 180 days per year) and a willingness to work unsociable hours.
