Description An exhibition design company based in York are looking for an Interactive Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Our client design and build one-off and low run Interactive displays for the Museum, Visitor Centre and Retail sectors. These displays must be visually and practically engaging, safe and durable, require minimum maintenance and be able to withstand the rigors of everyday use by the public.
The successful candidate must be: Educated to degree level and have a proven, practical record, working on project driven assemblies and mechanisms within an electro-mechanical field. This should ideally relate to the design and production of one-off or low run mechanical movement and transfer, process control, PIC programming and electronic circuitry. A good knowledge of AutoCAD and CAD based processes is essential, as is a good knowledge of engineering materials and electro-mechanical componentry. Practical experience of engineering machinery is highly desirable, including lathes, milling machines and welding equipment.
