A leading Aerospace company are looking for a technically and commercially astute engineer with good avionics knowledge; you will lead the service support activity for the full range of company products.
Key Responsibilities Delivery of rotable exchange services and AOG support. Managing the production and delivery of Service Bulletins. Managing and developing the service support engineering team. Control of services and support activities for all service support engineers. Ownership of the Service Support order and revenue budgets, forecasts and service metrics. Identification of service support revenue opportunities. Collation, management and analysis of data resulting from the execution of planned retrofit and upgrade programmes. Maintain the knowledge base of company technology in order to support the client. Support the creation and delivery of customer training programmes. Liaise with Engineering on technical support issues and providing detailed feedback to customers. Create and update working process and control procedures for the service support activity. Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to ensure contract deliverables achieved. EASA Form One responsibility.
Interface with Customers (Operators in particular) Operations Engineering Business Development Programme Management
Qualifications & Experience Commercial acumen. Technical knowledge and experience of Airborne Radio Communications equipment; Digital Radio (e.g. TETRA); Direction-Finding systems; and land-based and airborne systems. Knowledge of service support and technical publications in an aerospace/defence environment. Ability to develop new processes and manage change. Available to travel at short notice within UK and overseas. Comfortable with climbing on aircraft, vehicles and ships. Holder of current UK Driving Licence. Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Engineering High level of self-motivation and initiative. Ability to motivate and manage others. Ability to work as part of a professional team. Excellent organisational ability. High degree of computer skill. Previous experience of working in a service support and customer facing role. | | |
