A world leading aerospace company are looking for an experienced weights engineer with strong aerospace experience. The company have a number of large contracts and long design and development projects. They are looking for someone to join there engineering team as the weights specialist with full input into design from this aspect.
Weight and centre of gravity calculations of structure and systems schemes. Component properties, shape codes and co-ordinates determined for mass distribution analysis.
Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual weight reports.
Attend design reviews to advise on possible weight savings and assess designs against weight targets.
Analysis of composite & metallic drawings and enter data on Weight Database.
Assist in the training new staff in weight engineering.
Applicants will need to be able to gain UK MoD security clearance |
