Our client is one of the world’s leading materials characterisation companies, highly respected for its innovation and leadership in particle characterization.
They are now looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join them at their site in Malvern. You will take responsibility for the manufacturability of current and new products to ensure that the Operations quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved.
Within this role you will ensure that all engineering problems are resolved to achieve customer delivery dates and targets. You will take responsibility for the manufacturability of new products and ensure a smooth transfer of the product into production. By looking at the lean manufacturing methods you will ensure the implementation of new methods and practices to accelerate the process. You will also take responsibility for the quality of the product shipped and other Continuous Improvement activities.
The successful applicant for this position will have proven experience within a similar role coupled with knowledge of a high technology manufacturing or assembly business. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in engineering or manufacturing. You must have good understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing process and lean / modern manufacturing practices. You will have a “hands on approach” to problem solving along with the ability to analyse and suggest improvements to performance of manufacturability.
