Description MATERIALS SCIENTIST/ ENGINEER FORENSIC ENGINEERING INVESTIGATIONS CENTRAL LONDON
We are seeking a Materials Scientist or Engineer to join this leading forensic investigation team based in Central London.
You will be involved in investigating the cause of a wide range of corrosion, materials and engineering problems, including failure of metallic and polymeric components, from initial site work through all aspects to Court if required.
To succeed as Materials Scientist for forensic investigation work, you must be qualified to degree level in Materials Science or related Engineering Discipline and should be Chartered or working towards Chartered status, with experience in an engineering or similar environment.
You must be self-motivated and good at personal time and project management, as well as flexible in your work and be prepared to travel. You must be able to demonstrate problem solving skills and an inquisitive nature and be able to think both laterally and ?on your feet?.
Good oral and written communications are essential and you must be prepared to give evidence in court when needed.

You will be joining a well established and respected forensic investigation team that investigates the full range of losses including fires, explosions, accidents and engineering problems. They have 8 offices covering England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales and work on behalf of Insurers, Loss Adjusters and the Legal profession, as well as Corporate clients, Insurance Brokers and Loss Assessors.
