Description
Our Client is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of speaker cones, with an enviable reputation for devising specialised products for use in high quality professional applications which are used in name brand hi-fidelity and guitar / public address systems.
Specialising in the development of speaker cone design solutions for composite and traditional speaker cones - manufactured from pulps and textiles using vacuum extraction systems and in-house tooling generated to customer specifications, the Company is a market leader in this highly specialised field, exporting its products all over the world.
The ideal candidate will have a materials science degree with experience of the paper or textiles industries and a keen interest in high quality acoustics and or the music industry, enabling the technical ability to design, implement and develop products from raw materials through to finished product to the highest possible specifications. In addition, we are looking for strengths in the following areas:
• R & D experience in a related field
• Practical or academic knowledge of the relationships between audio performance, speaker design & the realities of production & tooling
• Availability to travel both in the UK and abroad
• The ability to become a respected member of a small but specialised team and a ‘name’ within the professional audio industries
