Our client is a family run textile manufacturing company. The company produces a diverse range of products in Interiors, Apparel, Technical and Industrial and through their textile innovation centre.
Our client is currently seeking several Production Managers to join their team based in Pudsey, West Yorkshire. The main purpose of the Production Manager role is to ensure the departments run in an efficient and timely manner manufacturing the products that are required to a quality standard, ensuring that production targets and budget levels are met and continually monitored and improved. Within this role your main responsibilities will include managing production and planning processes throughout the areas of responsibility to include machine utilisation, labour requirements, overtime authorisation and stock levels, monitoring weekly output statistics and managing the planning, coordination and control of processes. You will also be expected to manage and develop all direct reporting staff, liase with other departments in order to establish work volumes and support requirements and develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in relation to departmental activities and procedures.
The successful candidates will have worked in similar roles previously and will have experience of managing and developing teams. An excellent communicator, you will be confident when dealing with people at all levels and you will be capable of making quick decisions and adapting quickly to a constantly changing workload. Highly organised, you will be able to plan and prioritise tasks and delegate throughout your team as well as using your initiative, seeking to constantly improve processes and procedures. You will be greatly customer focussed with keen business awareness and you will understand the importance of your role within the company.
