Description
Our client is a leading player in the supply of UPS systems to industry. The company’s many different customers include datacentres, hospital units, government sites, the Oil and Gas industry and many other sectors of the market.. They are looking for a field engineer to join the team to look after the South East region of the UK.
The majority of the work will be visiting customer sites carrying out preventive maintenance on the companies range of UPS equipment, however as part of their normal duties, the engineers will be required to carry out on call duties (currently 1 in 9).
You will be required to demonstrate::
* Ideally an understanding of a wide range of UPS systems from 100kva to 1mva output and above
Or
* Excellent knowledge of power electronics including the operation and use of inverters and rectifiers in systems.
* A background in field service engineering from either the electrical, power generation or electronics industry.
* Formal qualifications (ie HNC / HND) in electronic servicing or power electrics.
