Description MECHANICAL TECHNICAL TEAM MANAGER CERTIFICATION AND TESTING SERVICES WINDSOR
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Technical Team Manager to take responsibility for the daily management and support of the Windsor based Approvals team which offers worldwide certification and testing services for industrial and commercial loss prevention products.
Reporting to the Group Manager Approvals, Europe your key duties will include taking responsibility for a business unit at European level to include; contributing towards the business development strategy; technical supervision of engineers; networking with key customers in order to increase the volume of locally manufactured approved products.
You will also take responsibility for maintaining the technical and professional integrity of the certification process and will support the role of Certification Manager for the Approvals Notified Body.
Products tested and approved include automatic sprinkler systems, hydrants and hose, fire pump installation systems, portable extinguishers, fixed extinguishing systems, flammable liquid & gas equipment, fuel and combustion controls, combustion safeguards, gas detection instruments, Oil & gas safety shutoff valves, electrical signaling, household protection, roofing products and assemblies, building insulations, fire protective coatings, explosion venting construction, wall and floor penetrating fire stops, cooling towers, system components, expanded plastic packaging material and systems and components for reliable operation of inherently dangerous processes.
To succeed as Mechanical Technical Team Manager you must have proven management experience including the ability to lead, encourage and motivate staff and should be qualified to minimum Bachelor?s degree level in Engineering.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with first class presentation skills and good project management skills as well as having proven ability to influence and persuade others - experience in a sales environment would be advantageous.
You must have ambition for results and be able to develop and implement business plans. Additional languages and experience in certification would be advantageous, but are not essential.
Travel will be required with this role throughout Europe with occasional trips to the US.
