Work will need to be executed within agreed engineering fee limits dictated from insurance policy or through negotiation with the client. There will be additional responsibility for assigned internal projects to support the ongoing enhancement of department engineering systems to support main role execution.

You should have sound working knowledge of relevant process technologies, work execution methods and project management and exposure to risk assessed driven decision-making - relevant to field of expertise. IT literacy to include general office systems is essential, as is experience of technical simulation packages for process modelling, risk assessment, project execution purposes as is relevant to field of expertise. You must have excellent written English and communication/ presentations skills.

Exposure to design and inspection of offshore structures would be desirable, but is not essential, as would a global perspective of the Upstream Energy sector and involvement in risk assessment either in design or operations, with a working knowledge of major accident hazards.

Ideally you will be active in industry associations and professional groups, i.e. IChemE, IMechE, EI, IADC and a 2nd European language would be useful.

You will be joining a leading oil, gas and petrochemical risk consultancy and insurance services firm who provide the full spectrum of risk & insurance solutions spanning internationally renowned broking & placement capabilities, risk & specialty product practices, claims advocacy & related services and risk consulting.
