Description DIESEL EMS CALIBRATION ENGINEER WEST MIDLANDS PERMANENT OR 12 MONTH CONTRACTS
We are seeking experienced EMS Calibration Engineers to work on passenger car CR diesel EMS applications, taking on an analytical role with responsibilities including core engine calibration on state of the art torque based engine management systems.
To succeed as EMS Calibration Engineer you should have proven capability in two or more of the following: - Base engine calibration for performance, economy and emissions on fully torque based EMS - Trade off engine calibration using advanced calibration methods (eg emissions vs fuel economy) - Experience with dual stage turbocharger systems, including VNT on one stage - Knowledge of Bosch EDC16 and EDC17 systems - Validation of engine mapping in vehicle - Emission development, including optimisation of combustion swirl control and EGR - DPF development and regeneration strategies - Driveability development and interface with transmission and other vehicle systems - Hot / cold / altitude development
Good experience in Bosch EDC systems would be an advantage, as would experience of advanced model based calibration software (eg MBC toolbox).
As EMS Calibration Engineer, you will be joining a high technology provider of powertrain engineering services to Vehicle Manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers. Using advanced engineering processes such as automated design and model based calibration tools, it aims to deliver higher quality results within compressed timescales.
