Our client offers unrivalled worldwide experience in the drying, curing, cooling and non-contact handling of coated and impregnated web materials, whether the substrate be paper, film, foil or heavy metal strip.
Our client is currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer to strengthen their team. Within this role you will be required to work on sites throughout the world for extended periods as well as short visits and you will be responsible for the start-up, on site training and servicing of Spooner equipment. You will be expected to ensure that your customers are aware of how to use all equipment and you will also be expected to fault find and repair machinery as necessary.
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and will come from a good engineering background. You should have strong knowledge of electrical engineering and you will ideally hold a recognised qualification to support this knowledge. Analytical in your thinking, you will have good problem solving abilities and you will be skilled in thinking on your feet. A good knowledge of PLC programmes, electrical and pneumatic control systems along with experience of the associated industries would be advantageous.
This role will require a flexible and hardworking candidate who is prepared to travel and spend time away from home as necessary.
