Description Technical Quality Co-ordinator required for 6 month fixed term staff position -
The successful candidate will be required to co-ordinate the timely provision of quality statistic reporting and return of reject materials to vendors complete with corrective action reporting and technical support.
Main Responsibilities: -
Maintain records of shop floor vendor rejects and advise vendors accordingly. Liaise closely with in house Quality, Engineering and purchasing departments to ensure that timely corrective actions are taken.
Work closely with vendors to ensure that action is taken to improve quality, and corrective actions are reported back to the Quality and Operations teams.
Support key vendors improving overall quality in accordance with supply contract targets, so that Non conformance makes up less than 0.5% of all incoming material.

Personal Requirements: -
Have relevant Engineering experience and/or equivalent qualifications (minimum OND/HNC) Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel key) together with experience of using Lotus Notes (or similar). Must have detailed understanding of Glovia or a similar ERP system.
Able to demonstrate a good understanding of quality requirements and corrective action Must have a clear idea of the cost of vendor non-conformance.
Possess excellent communication /interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively face to face, by phone and e-mail with people at all levels within the company and vendor companies.
Able to work as an individual with minimal supervision and also to function well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
This position is a fixed term staff position and is initially offered on a 6 month basis, with a view to becomming permanent.
