Our client is the world’s largest global supplier of advanced automotive technology, systems and components. Employing around 115,000 associates worldwide, they are driven by their desire to develop world first technology and lead the market with best in class production quality. They are a leading name in the design and manufacture of high performance heat exchange units and cooling modules. The company is a prominent global supplier to OEMs in the off highway construction, agricultural and Engine Power markets. The company has full research, design and development facilities on site to drive its product development.
They are currently seeking to recruit a supervisor to manage a team of production operatives. Overseeing the team, you will ensure that the production schedule is followed and achieved, ensuring that production is delivered within a specified time frame and meets their high quality, productivity and health and safety standards. It is vital that the Supervisor can liaise with and relate to staff on all levels, creating excellent working relationships and delivering a first class service. You will also be responsible for cost-saving and lean manufacturing initiatives that will benefit the company’s continuous improvement culture.
Their ideal candidate will be a strong character and established supervisor with demonstrable hands on experience within a fast moving production environment. With first-rate time management and organisational skills, you will also have an awareness of Health and Safety regulations including risk assessments and legislation. The successful candidate will also be IT literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft applications and ideally an understanding of MRP systems. An understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools such as KPIs, 5S, TPM, OEE would also be beneficial.
