Process Control Technician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Rotherham, South Yorkshire
£25,000 - £28,000 plus allowances
Our client is an international metals company providing steel products and services to customers worldwide.
They are currently looking to recruit an experienced and methodical Process Control Technician to provide technical and breakdown support as well as effectively manage the planned maintenance schedule for the Rotherham site. Using your wealth of experience you will minimise down time to ensure our client meets or exceeds their customer’s production and quality expectations, whilst ensuring cost is kept to a minimum and health and safety remains a priority.
Reporting to the Process Control Engineer, you will work together to assist in the commissioning and installation of new plant equipment and ensure compliance with the company engineering and quality standards. You will advise and train other members of staff, promoting a friendly and supportive working environment.
Other duties range from keeping accurate records and analysing your findings to undertaking calibration procedures to meet quality standards. This job is multi faceted involving planning, procurement, faultfinding and plant improvement. There is a great deal of autonomy in the role and given the diverse nature of the technologies employed by this company, the role is full of challenges.
To apply for the role you should be educated to HNC level or equivalent and will have completed a recognised apprenticeship. Due to the nature of the role you must have a wealth of experience in electrical process control. It would also be extremely advantageous to have a good working knowledge of Nadcap and other quality standards.
