Description JUNIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERS OIL INDUSTRY ABERDEENSHIRE OR NORTH YORKSHIRE
We are currently seeking degree-qualified Mechanical Engineers to join this well-established and successful specialist manufacturing company who design and produce specialist electrical connectors for use with Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP?s) used throughout the global oil industry in the down hole environment.
As part of the plans for continued growth, they are now looking for Graduate Mechanical Engineers to join their connector division. Reporting to senior engineers or the Engineering Manager, the candidate will provide support to various New Product Development activities. You will provide engineering support in the form of 2D/3D CAD modeling, detailed drawings, mechanical calculations and FEA and basic conceptual design work.
The successful applicant will need a degree in Mechanical engineering or similar engineering discipline and a strong mechanical background including FEA, as well as experience with Autodesk Inventor or other 3D CAD systems. You should also have a high attention to detail and be autonomous and driven.
The candidate must be able to liaise with all levels and departments of the company and therefore good communication skills are important. The engineer must be able to pitch their knowledge in any given scenario, be it detailed design reviews, customer meetings or installation training. Finally you will report to management regarding project performance. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to QHSE are also vital for this role.
This position may suit a recently qualified candidate with some experience.
