Job Summary: The position is part of the engineering and development group for a company which designs and manufactures specialist Scientific Instrumentation for a variety of different industry sectors. The primary role is for the design, development and maintenance of Electronic / Electrical systems for new Instrumentation and to provide technical support for the maintenance and production of existing product lines. Essential skills and experience required; Advanced Digital Electronics Design, Analogue Electronics Design Microcontrollers and Power Electronics. Desirable skills Embedded Software Programming, C/C++ Knowledge of and experience of applying knowledge of EMC and Safety standards to ensure systems and hardware compliance with international requirements. Job Functions and Accountabilities: Manage project electronics development from concept to final design to agreed company standards and working practices. Produce electronics requirements specifications for a project. Validate and verify design proposals through calculation, simulation and proof of concept. Provide designs which account for and ensure hardware conforms to all relevant safety and EMC standards Contribute to the electronics / electrical system design and architecture for new product. Development of and documentation of test specifications and harnesses for production and test environments
•Educated to at least BSc - Electronics or Engineering degree preferred •Graduate level qualifications with substantial electronics project experience and significant relevant industrial experience – typically at least 5 years.
