PERFORMANCE/ DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERS
HEAVY DUTY DIESEL DEVELOPMENT
MIDLANDS
6- 12 MONTH CONTRACTS
We are seeking Performance/ Development Engineers for 6-12 month contracts based on-site as part of a team supporting powertrain development with a global off-highway engine/ equipment manufacturer.
You will be working to develop a new engine to production focusing on the achievement of system performance and durability targets. After this placement, there is the possibility of future deployments at the company?s main offices in Milton Keynes.
To succeed as Performance/ Development Engineer you should have development experience with a recognised vehicle or engine manufacturer and will ideally have been working in roles relating to off-highway, agricultural or other heavy-duty Diesel engine development.
You should have proven experience of powertrain development for performance, durability and functional aspects and will have a good understanding of engine sub-systems and their interactions i.e. cranktrain, valvetrain, timing drives, lubrication and cooling systems. An understanding of modern development processes are also essential.
Opportunities exist both for Junior Engineers with some experience and for more Senior Engineers who will have experience managing other engineers development activities and providing technical guidance/ support.
As Diesel EMS Control/ Calibration Engineer, you will be joining a high technology provider of powertrain engineering services to Vehicle Manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers. Using advanced engineering processes such as automated design and model based calibration tools, it aims to deliver higher quality results within compressed timescales.
