Description FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER GAS ANALYSIS MONITORS EXTENSIVE TRAVEL - ATTRACTIVE PACKAGE
Due to increasing business, we are seeking a Field Service Engineer who will work closely with the European Business Manager and will perform field installation, maintenance, customer training, and service for the company?s products.
As Field Service Engineer you will collaborate with colleagues in manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing and will interface with customers to understand their requirements, expedite repairs, improve operational efficiency, reduce future service problems and to address product quality, functionality and reliability issues.
To succeed as Field Service Engineer you should be qualified to degree level in an appropriate subject or have equivalent military electronics training or a combination of training and experience.
You should have a good level of field service experience with proven knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic, electromechanical mechanical and fluid handling systems. You should also have good mechanical aptitude and be skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office suite and Windows based programs, as well as in the use of email, voicemail, cell phone is essential. Fluency in another language would be an advantage.
You should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills as well as the ability to work independently with minimal direction, and to collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines. You should have relentless attention to detail and commitment to quality and a propensity for getting the job done right the first time ? you should be willing to go the extra mile to verify that the job has been completed according to quality standards.
You must project a professional presence in front of the customer and must be the liaison between the company and the substation personnel and so excellent communication skills, both written and oral are required. You should also have demonstrated skills in problem solving.
You must have a valid driver?s license and a driving record acceptable to their insurance carrier as well as a current passport, or the ability to obtain one for international travel as the role will include extensive international (75%) and domestic (25%) travel. The position will also include some heavy lifting up to 70lbs.
You will be joining a rapidly expanding USA manufacturer of dissolved gas analysis (DGA) monitors used in the electrical power industry. Career prospects are excellent as the company continues to expand. | | |
