Our client is a global specialty Chemicals and Materials Company focused on developing, manufacturing and selling value-added products to a wide range of industries. They currently have a range of exciting and challenging opportunities for experienced Engineers to make a positive contribution to their team:
Production Engineers (x2) Their Production Engineers are responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of Statistical Process Control of the Manufacturing processes. Within this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting continuous improvement projects geared toward the reduction and elimination of waste from the manufacturing process, using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies throughout.
Using your excellent problem solving skills, you will be responsible for supporting the Product Engineering and Technical Service functions with technical issues and problem solving, helping to resolve day-to-day production and short to medium term manufacturing problems.
With proven experience in production engineering, you must be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, and will ideally have knowledge of six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques. Highly organised in the areas of project management, time management, and work prioritisation, you will be able to lead by example within multi-functional groups to ensure the successful implementation of your projects.
Process Engineer This high profile role involves the implementation of process and machine solutions, project definition, project management and project execution across the manufacturing process. It will be your responsibility to lead problem solving teams to address complex issues as they arise, using the best industry practices to find the most cost effective solution.
You will be responsible for implementing small to medium size projects involving equipment and process modifications to support the introduction of new products and changes to existing products. You must be able to understand key process parameters as well as the relationship between the process parameters and the product key characteristics to drive improvements.
They are looking for a proactive, positive and highly organised Process Engineer to make this role a success. Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, you will ideally be Six Sigma trained and have significant experience of lean manufacturing techniques. With the ability to effectively supervise multi-functional teams and outside contractors, you must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of project completions and successful project management within process engineering.
