Description
A pioneering manufacturer of rechargeable batteries is currently looking for a Process Engineer.
Main responsibilities
The successful candidate will work on projects aimed at developing and optimizing battery manufacturing in part related to positive electrode.
The work involves applying chemical and mechanical engineering concepts for making quality coatings on thin films from polymer based slurries.
The work will result in productivity improvements and robust manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate will conduct product and process experiments to establish, upscale and optimise process specifications intended for use with company coating facilities.
The successful candidate will also work in areas of grinding, mixing, making solutions and preparing cathode slurries and producing coatings with consistent quality supported with appropriate qualification processes.
Proven ability to solve problems and excellent troubleshooting skills are a must for the candidate to be successful in this position.
Experience/background
BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science,
or a closely related technical field
Experience in process engineering in a high volume production/manufacturing environment.
Ability to provide hands-on technical leadership with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to troubleshoot problems related to processing and/or equipment.
Strong chemistry and mechanical aptitude.Ability to work independently with minimal direction, as well as in a team environment.
