Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of fire detection solutions for commercial and industrial applications.
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a competent Testing Engineer to join them. Creative and innovative in your approach, you will identify new ways to stress the product. This will involve designing, developing and executing manual and automated tests and methods.
Liaising closely with the Product Development teams, you will ensure that software / hardware development is carried out with testing in mind, contributing to an ongoing program of process improvement.
Meticulous and thorough with excellent attention to detail, you will document, prove and execute verification tests for products and systems. Gaining a thorough understanding of technologies used as you progress within the role, you will utilise this knowledge to analyse and improve latest tools and methods.
Our client’s ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of performing troubleshooting, testing and repair of prototype and pre-production products in a product development environment.
Educated to degree level (1st class or 2.1 honours degree) or equivalent in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering Sciences or Mathematics, it is essential that you possess knowledge of electronic circuit design and have the ability to understand a schematic.
