Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of fire detection solutions for commercial and industrial applications. Their products are designed to save lives and protect property from the risk of fire.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a positive and proactive electronics engineering professional to join them. Using your excellent problem solving skills and initiative, you will endeavour to resolve technical issues as they arise including technical understanding of the whole product (HW, SW) for existing and derivative products. This will also involve investigating root causes and implementing solutions on any failures.
Collaborating effectively with other colleagues, you will design new systems, circuits and devices or develop existing technology, providing feedback to testers as required. Putting diagnostic documents in place, you will test theoretical designs, systematically improve the detailed design of a piece of electronic equipment and carry out general process improvements as required.
Their ideal candidate will be qualified to degree / HND level or equivalent in electronics with extensive experience in design or applications engineering. With a thorough knowledge of electronics (digital, analog, processors and memories), you will possess excellent experience in diagnostics and root cause analysis. Proven experience in Modern Bench Test methods with excellent de-bug skills to component level are essential.
