EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER
INDUSTRIAL BOILERS
SALARY £35K to £40K
BASED BIGGIN HILL, KENT
Due to ongoing product development and expansion, we are now seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join this world leader in the design and manufacture of combustion management and control systems for industrial boiler/burner applications, situated in Biggin Hill Kent, with a reputation for quality and innovation.
The Software engineer will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have professional experience and a proven background in writing C/C++ for embedded processor systems.
Reporting directly to the R&D Manager, you will work as part of a small team of hardware and software engineers to develop the company?s range of control systems. The successful candidate will identify and implement control and logic systems suitable to the applications. In addition, you will provide support and develop existing company products and safety critical codes for approval and provide full software documentation, testing and analysis.
The successful applicant should be educated to degree level or equivalent in Computer Science or Software Engineering with A level passes in Maths and Physics. You should have strong knowledge and competence in programming in C and C++ and a working knowledge of some/all of the following: Intel 80186/8 embedded development - Paradigm C/C++; ARM embedded development - Rowley CrossWorks; 8-bit microcontrollers ? Assembler & C; Windows Application Development ? Turbo C++; Software version control; appreciation of Hardware. You will also require commercial development experience. Excellent literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to work positively in a team environment are also required.
