Description
We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineering professional to respond to and resolve breakdowns throughout the Dalepak Foods manufacturing site, to support the preventative maintenance programme in order to maximise the efficiency of the manufacturing operation, and minimise machine downtime.
Key responsibilities include;
• Fault finding and repair of on-line breakdowns and off-line equipment
• Planned Maintenance
• To carry out line changes in conjunction with the Enabling Teams
• Facilities / Building Maintenance
• To pro-actively seek improvements to manufacturing efficiencies
• To train new members of the department
• To maintain a safe working environment
• Liaison with Contractors
• To maintain the engineering workshop in tidy and hygienic state
You must have a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent standard qualification, 16th Edition, where the technical competencies of the role require;
• Familiarity of working on low-voltage equipment
• Familiarity with ultra low control voltage
• Familiarity with 3 phase equipment
• Basic knowledge of PLCs - Interrogation, making program modifications
• Familiarity with star / delta control systems
• Experience of direct on-line control systems
• Experience of electric and inverter motor starters
• DC experience
• Experience of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Familiarity with panal building and motor testing
• Basic knowledge of alarm systems
• Basic knowledge of ammonia / refrigeration
• Knowledge and understanding of The Electricity at Work Act and Power Regulations
